Holding a Doctor of Music degree from the prestigious Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Dr. Mellichamp has brought the grandeur of classical pipe organ literature to some of the world’s most storied venues, including the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, Westminster Abbey in London, the Washington National Cathedral, and the Berlin Cathedral.
Beyond his global reputation as a recitalist, he is a deeply respected educator, President Emeritus and Distinguished Professor of Music Emeritus at Piedmont University, and a premier organ consultant responsible for the architectural design of more than fifty instruments across the United States.
