CHARLESTON, S.C. — [September 6, 2026] — The Gregarious Grooves Trio will bring its vibrant fusion of Spanish, Latin, classical, jazz, popular, and original music to the Sunday Soirée Series on Sunday, September 6 at 3:00 p.m. at the Simons Center Recital Hall, 54 Saint Philip St., Charleston, South Carolina.
The trio features Gregory Guay on Spanish guitar, Axel Rangel on bass, and Jacob Abarbanell on conga and percussion. Guay and Rangel are alumni of the College of Charleston Music program.
Together, the musicians create a captivating fusion of sounds that draws on a wide range of musical traditions while showcasing the trio’s distinctive approach to Latin-inspired performance. Their repertoire brings together the rich colors of Spanish and Latin music with elements of classical, jazz, popular, and original music.
